Stringers for Staircase Solutions

One of our latest developments is that we have produced material samples for the production of stringer boards for stairs – the visible edge on the side of the steps. We offer stair stringer boards in pine edge-glued panels clad with MDF on both the inner and outer sides. The combination of the edge-glued panels’ strength and the smooth surface of the MDF provides several advantages:

• MDF is easy to paint. It provides a smooth surface and the result is a fully covered exterior. And unlike with pine surface, where resin can bleed through the paint, no extra preparation is needed before painting.
• The combination of pine and MDF weighs less compared to using just MDF.
• The combined product is more dimensionally rigid, providing better durability over time.
